Working with the System
Many consultants view businesses and corporations as familes, from a systems perspective. Some "families" function better than others. Some "families" may benefit from the support of a family therapist/consultant who can help the group of individuals in the business/corporation function more effectively, systemically.
The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, right? And if there is a part that is not functioning at its optimum level, the whole system will be affected. If there is triangulation or "cut off" within the system, among members of the "family," the entire system will be affected.
It is my goal to work with companies as a consultant, to help the "family" recognize where there are some challenges within the system that impact the company's ability to function as a finely-tuned machine.
Challenges like these are normal, whenever there is a group of people who come together for extended periods of time, for most any reason. Learning to communicate effectively and to manage the challenges before they start making an impact on the system may help the overall functioning of the system, thereby impacting the bottom line of the company, while increasing satifaction in "family" members.
